Unlike other tutoring services, we do not require a long term contract or pre-testing for your child’s admission. You may bring your child only as often as you wish. You can also cancel or reschedule an appointment with just a day’s notice.

Educere Tutoring of Houston: General Policies

• Questions: Questions or concerns should be directed to the Co-Directors: Gabriella Mackin, Ed McCullough and Lloyd Mathany. We invite open communication, as we believe this is essential to your child’s success.
• Scheduling appointments: Please call the school and schedule the appointment through the staff member answering the phone.
• Canceling appointments: Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours in advance or a charge will be incurred. This allows Educere Tutoring to notify teachers of cancellations with enough time for the teacher to adjust his/her schedule accordingly. Make-up appointments are available through the regular scheduling process.
• Location: All teaching and consultation will be in Educere's Office.
• Confidentiality: Educere Tutoring of Houston will not sell or disclose your information in any way. Your information is confidential.

Educere Tutoring of Houston: Financial Policies

• Parent conference: Initial introductory interview – no charge. Formally scheduled parent conferences after enrollment – charged at consultation rate.
• Missed appointments and last minute cancellations: Because we have already reserved time for your child, missed appointments will be charged at our standard rate.
• Late appointments: The session charge will begin at the time of the scheduled appointment. Often, another student is scheduled to begin at the start of the next hour. Therefore, we encourage students to be on time to ensure they receive the full teaching session.
• Minimum charge: There is a minimum one-hour charge for teaching time, followed by 30 minute increments of teaching time. Practice or study time at the school is available at no charge. Some students study here so they can avoid temptations of friends and television at home.
• Payments: Payments must be made in check or cash at the time of each appointment or within 30 days of receipt of a monthly invoice.

Educere Tutoring of Houston: Rates

Standard Fee: $55 per hour
Discounted Fee: $50 per hour

The discounted fee is charged if payment is received by the last day of the month following the month in which the teaching is done.

Example: A tutoring session is performed on Sept 12, 2008.
The discounted fee of $50 is charged if payment is made at the time of tutoring or before the end of October 2008. The standard fee of $55 will be charged if the payment is received after the last day of October 2008.

• Reimbursement: Clients will reimburse Educere Tutoring at cost when Educere buys materials or services at their request.
• Termination of service: If a client has an outstanding balance 60 days or older and no payment plan has been made to satisfy the overdue balance, Educere Tutoring, at its option, may terminate services and pursue collection of the outstanding balance by legal means.
