Educere tutoring for the academic edge. Read some comments from our students and parents:
“My son worked with an Educere tutor to prepare for the ACT exam his senior year in high school. He definitely looked forward to his tutoring sessions twice a week and made great progress.”
“Educere has been great for my daughter. They are very flexible. She has a standing appointment time each week, but if she has a test, they reschedule to help her prepare for that test.”
“My son is ADD and has a hard time concentrating in the classroom because of all the noise. Educere has a quiet one-on-one setting that enables my son to feel comfortable, calm down, and listen to the tutor.”
“I have discovered a great tutoring place right in our neighborhood! The staff is helpful and highly qualified.”

Arthur was highly intelligent, but also had a strong case of ADHD. He was failing and unwilling to study. His poor grades created friction with his parents. He was quiet, a little sullen and his mind was on BMX bicycles. Fortunately, he did want to be on the school swimming team, and passing grades are necessary for participation in school sports. We used that as an incentive for him to study Geometry We tutored him individually in a quiet place, which he did not have in his school's classroom. In working with him one-on-one, we saw his weaknesses, taught him the right techniques and had him practice. He achieved one of his desires: swimming with the team. He also had an unexpected sense of pride in scoring 96 on his next Geometry exam.
James was depressed and not functioning in school. His parents took him out of public school, officially home-schooling him, but brought him to Educere for lessons. At the same time, they consulted with a psychologist. Gradually James’ self-esteem and desire to succeed grew. He started to study and cranked out work. We guided him, oversaw his work, and provided a safe environment as he worked nonstop until he was able to take and pass his GED examinations.
Laurie was failing many of her classes and her parents wanted her to take three courses before she enrolled full time in a boarding school that gave special attention to students with learning difficulties. Laurie came here for the summer and we tutored her in three correspondence courses accredited by Texas Education Agency - World History, Geometry and IPC. At first Laurie had had no enthusiasm for studying, but we guided and accompanied her through every lesson in the courses. She passed them all, finished the boarding school and is now a student at a respected university.
Cameron was suspended from private school for exceeding his allowable absences, tardies, use of cell phone and the internet during school time. The school principal gave his parents our name and a list of core courses and electives that Cameron needed to graduate. The principal said that any accredited correspondence courses he completed would be accepted by his school, enabling him to graduate. The boy studied two courses with another tutor that the family already knew, and the rest of the courses at Educere. The start was slow, but the teacher whom we chose to work with this student kept a spirit of optimism and enthusiasm, helping Cameron get through all the lesson pages with thoroughness and speed. The student actually did want to get back on track and finish high school and move on to college and mainly needed structuring of time, partnership and camaraderie that our tutor provided . He worked with our tutor through the rest of the spring semester and into the summer. The student took time off for Memorial Day weekend, and negotiated over some Fridays, but then surprised us by coming in on other Saturdays and Sundays. The student completed all the courses, and entered university on schedule.
